Back to School Resources

Posted on August 17, 2021 by aaaco

It’s that time of year again! Back to school! Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools start on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.  With just one week before school starts, make sure you and your children are ready!

The Basics

Depending on the age and grade, children are expected to have certain things ready ahead of time before their first day of school.  As a good starting point, contact your child’s teacher to get a list of what is needed.  School supplies are one of the easiest places to start.

Additionally, if you are in the area, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools website has some great information about how to be ready for school.  These resources include the following topics:

  • Enrollment
  • Immunizations
  • Meal options
  • Buses and registration
  • Handbooks and forms
  • Powerschool (homework, grades, attendance)
  • After school programs
  • Parent Resources
  • COVID Safety

Outside of Charlotte schools, check your area school’s respective website for more information on how to be prepared for school this year.
